Black seeds also referred to as black caraway, black cumin, and Roman coriander are small seeds packed with powerful punch which can protect against Cancer and MRSA.

Herbal Tea | Healthier Body, Skin & Mind

There's nothing better than having a soothing cup of Herbal tea after work. But besides being warming, caffeine free and great in taste it has got amazing health benefits. From soothing a troubled tummy to easing insomnia and even calming a troubled mind. Herbs have different sorts of powers. Herbal teas a great sources of vitamins and minerals. 

Herbal tea actually isn't made from tea. It is prepared from a specific kind of plant. It is an infusion of leaves, seeds, roots or bark in hot water. 
Unlike other teas, Herbal tea contains no caffeine. There are different kinds of Herbal Teas. Nettle, Chamomile, Ginger, Peppermint, Lavender, Lemon Balm, Rosemary and Cardamon Tea are few of them. 
I drink Chamomile tea with apple or ginger. It calms the mind, helps in dealing with stress, stomach ailment and is a mild sedative. Its the perfect drink before taking a nap. However these should not be consumed by pregnant women, breastfeeding women and anyone allergic to these plants.


The Three Heart-Healthy Snacks

You may not be able to change your family history of high heart disease risk, but there are certain things that you can change that will decrease or even prevent your risk for developing heart disease. 
A heart-healthy diet that includes fruits, vegetables and essential fats plus a well structured exercise program constitute the keys to prevention of heart disease.
There are many heart-healthy food choices that you can make, these are the ones that I recommend to prevent major cardiac event.

1. Apples

After cranberries, Apples are the second most consumed snack food in the world. It could be due to their high fiber content (specially with its skin) or its supply of vitamins and minerals. Whatever the reason is, these can be included in your heart-healthy snacks list.

* The fiber present in Apples makes you feel fuller for longer time.
* Consuming Apples can prevent you from over eating.

Tuna Salad Sandwich.

This recipe is specially for those who said they don't have time to prepare healthy food and consume whatever they get in hand. This is really easy, simple and takes less time to prepare. 
Things you will need :

1. Light meat Tuna in Olive oil - 1 can
2. Canola Oil Mayonnaise (Cholesterol Free) - 1 tbsp
3. Chopped onions - 1/4 cup
4. Chopped Cucumber - 1/4 cup
5. Mashed Avocado - 1/4 cup
6. Handful of Baby Spinach.
7. Whole grain bread - 2 slices
8. Salt & Pepper.

Preparation :

1. Toast Bread.
2. In a bowl mix Tuna, Mayonnaise, Chopped Onion, Chopped Cucumber, Mashed Avocado, Salt and Pepper. Set Aside.
3. Place the toasted slices of bread onto a plate. Lay Baby Spinach on top of it. Spoon the Tuna Salad onto Spinach.
4. If you want it warm then heat it in the micro wave.
5. Enjoy
